Hello Rosie!!! Minutes ago I jumped online to ensure that the Blue Angel was alive and well,anticipating a few places I will want to share with my mother and a brother who will be visiting from Colorado later this week for several nights. I myself live northeast of Reno, and seldom get up to SLT. Serendipity (which has led me to many of my favorite restaurants over the years) brought me into the Angel a few years ago, and when I am anywhere nearby, I don't miss a chance to eat. Noticing that my heart rate increased while I zeroed in on your website, simultaneously looking forward to being there while also dreading that somehow the Angel had disappeared since I was last there (July '09), I thought I'd drop a note to profess my affection for it. It resonates with me in every way: casual ambience, great value with an emphasis on thoughtful food & drink rather than tasteless decor, good people.... No pretense, just substance. So rare in our world anymore. There's no place in SLT I'd rather be eating, regardless of budget. We'll be holed up in Incline Village but will for sure be in for dinner Friday or Saturday. I can hardly wait.
